∙ IMPRO STUDIO 2010 ∙

Two days of workshops and concerts for secondary school girls with Australia’s finest jazz artists

VIEW/PRINT FLYER (pdf 2.08MB)

This year in Melbourne, Shelford Girls' Grammar will host "Impro Studio" - a special two-day jazz event catering exclusively to secondary school girls. Participants will be involved in mixed small ensembles, concerts and workshops guided by:

TONY GOULD
ANDREA KELLER
NADJE NOORDHUIS (USA)
SHANNON BARNETT
ROB BURKE
DAVID JONES
SONJA HORBELT
ANNETTE YATES

Players of all instruments are encouraged to apply. Additional mentors may be announced, particularly if there is a demand from applicants for instruments not yet catered for (i.e. guitar or voice).

It will be an incredible opportunity for girls to be inspired by the very best; experience a stronger representation of women in the music industry; network with the finest improvisers in the country and mingle with like-minded young female musicians.

The flyer has more information, click here to view/print the flyer. Registrations are now open until Friday 4th June 2010, limited places are available.

Impro Studio is open to students of all musical abilities and instruments. All efforts will be made to stream students into ensembles of an appropriate standard. In order to stream the mixed ensembles as suitably as possible we would like applicants to indicate their jazz experience on the registration form.
